Akebia quinata --Chocolate Vine--

Really unusual!! This climbing shrubby vine makes a plethora of gorgeous mahogany flowers in the spring, and they smell just like chocolate! In the fall, it forms fruit that looks like little eggplants - related to kiwi, they look similar inside except a gorgeous lilac shade. Five-petalled leaves used for tea in Japan.
