Crassula rupestris ssp. commutata --Tom Thumb Crassula--

Crassula rupestris ssp. commutata --Tom Thumb Crassula--

Miniature tightly stacked crassula, looks a little like string of buttons, and has a beautiful red flush along the edges of the leaves, intensifying towards the tip of each strand. Best in bright light - more light intensifies the color (we keep ours in part shade to make sure they don't get burned, so they are greener). Will stay happily in a small pot, and can trail nicely in a hanging basket. Prefers a deep flush watering only when quite dry. Blooms small clusters of white flowers in spring and summer. Dots on leaves are not a sign of disease but are water pores called hydathodes.
