Collection: Figs
Edible figs are the species Ficus carica, and are the perfect fruit tree for Texas. Tolerating all our conditions, from extreme heat to extreme cold, scorching sun, and drought, they bear large amounts of incredibly sweet fruit on low-growing shrubby trees with lush dramatic foliage. Many of our 3 gallon trees are already fruiting! Staff often snack on the ripe ones as we putter. :)
Figs are self fertile. Purple figs are so attractive, but we recommend giving gold and green figs a try as well, as the color disguises the fruit and leads to less scavenging by birds and other wildlife.
