Collection: Melons
Melons are a relatively broad category including "true melons" in Cucumis melo (which also contains some cucumbers), watermelons, which are Citrullus lanatus and cannot breed with true melons, and a few rare outliers. Typically selected for juicy, sweet fruit with inoffensive though usually avoided seeds, and a hard rind that allows these fruits to have a relatively long shelf life compared to many other fruits.
