Agrostis stolonifera --Creeping Bentgrass--

Staff favorite! AKA "Fiorin", Great turfgrass for areas with traffic and sandy soil. Often used on golf courses for its durability and attractiveness, and is also great for erosion control. It can be mowed into a very smooth, fine turf or lawn. 1-3' long stems, though the variety is prostrate, meaning this will be a spreading mat or tuft instead of a tall grass like johnsongrass. Seed spikes are lovely and colorful, leading to this sometimes being called red-top.
