Gomphrena haageana --Rio Grande Amaranth--

Cool native bloomer produces dramatic, fiery red-orange globe-shaped flowers, wonderful pop of color in the flower garden, and a great counterpoint to our fuchsia varieties. A favorite for dried flower arrangements as flowers will hold their color well after cutting. Easy to grow, low maintenance, tends to blossom more in fall. Around 18" tall, full sun, very good heat tolerance, and well-drained soil (though it will appreciate regular watering).
