1860s heirloom developed by S. B Conover of NYC for giant green spears with purple tips, and high yield of sprouts per root. Stalks are up to 1.5" across, AND stay tender and sweet! Attracts bees when flowering, good foliage for flower arrangements. Third year harvest.
