AZTEC SWEET HERB --Lippia dulcis--

The Aztecs simply called this plant "Tzonpelic xihuitl", sweet herb - the leaves are intensely sweet and can be chewed like candy or added to salads for a pop of flavor. Used medicinally as an expectorant, as it also contains camphor. Cannot take a frost, but grows great in container!
