BLACKBERRY 'Sweetie Pie Thornless' --Rubus fruticosus--

Thornless means fewer and softer thorns - we have not found a fully thornless blackberry yet. Sweetie pie is almost fully thornless but not quite as vigorous as the Natchez we also offer. Very sweet, glossy fruit, with copious production! Ripens around June, for 2-4 weeks. Bred in Mississippi, this variety is quite heat-tolerant. Perennial root system, but each cane (stem) produces fruit in the second year. Resists double blossom. Needs nutrient rich soil and full sun, suitable for large containers.
