Amsonia illustris --Ozark Blue Star--

Clusters of shining star-shaped cloud-blue flowers in early summer, plant height to 3 feet. Full sun, medium water, attracts butterflies. Cold hardy, deer & insect resistant due to lightly toxic latex sap. If grown in shade, will become leggy and requires pruning/staking. Leaves turn golden in fall.
