BOYSENBERRY 'Cross' --Rubus ursinus--

Thorned fruit varieties are great for animal defense! This is a classic and beloved variety known for large, dark purple fruit, with a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. Widely grown across the US and are wonderful fresh off the vine, in pies and cobblers, or transformed into rich, flavorful jams, jellies, and preserves. Vigorous growers thrive in full sun and well draining soil, and will produce in June - July. Trailing growth will produce the best harvests when trellised (and fruit will be more accessible). Needs protection below 10°F.
