Aechmea nudicaulis albo-marginata --Yellow Variegated Bromeliad--

Terrestrial bromeliad native to Central America and northern South AmericaStriking striped leaves in lime green and bright yellow, with occasional dramatic flower spikes. Multiplies by pupping, so can be used as a gradually spreading groundcover. However, it is epiphytic so it does not need soil, it can be grown in water, in gravel or well draining orchid mix, or even on stone or branches. Absorbs nutrients through the well/"tank" at its center which should be rinsed occasionally to avoid rot. Likes shade but can tolerate sun.
