BURDOCK 'Takinogawa' --Arctium lappa--

This very old (1700s) heirloom variety is most popular burdock in Japan. 3-4 foot long (!!!) roots have rich, earthy flavor between a carrot and a parsnip. All parts of the plant are edible and medicinal! 120 days to root harvest. Pictured: Very eager root growth even when very young!
