CABBAGE 'Danish Ballhead'

Well-protected, sizable 7-10 inch heads, 5-7 pounds. The interior flesh is light green, mild, and tender. A real champion, it is a very dependable general-purpose heirloom cabbage introduced to the US in 1887, a strain of the even older Dutch variety Amager, which was mentioned as far back as the 15th century. Perfect for kraut, slaw, and cooking. Dependable against bolting and early splitting, and has good storage ability. Heirloom, 65-110 days.
