Aspidistra elatior --Dwarf Cast Iron Plant--

This is a great, tough foliage foundation or houseplant, with fresh, dark green leaves with small white flecks. Foliage is evergreen through winter, and grows straight from ground; each leaf is 4-5” wide and up to 1.5’ tall with clumps around 1-3’ wide. Aspidistra are easy and durable drought and cold hardy down to 1°F! Likes partial sun but can tolerate deep shade as an understory/groundcover and also enjoys thorough but infrequent watering (will not tolerate standing water).
