CHAMELEON PLANT 'Variegated' --Houttuynia cordata--

You don't want to miss this lovely variegated version of our classic chameleon herb! Chinese native is grown as a leaf vegetable, herbal garnish, and salad/chutney root vegetable. The leaf is said to have a faint sea-food scent (earning it the sobriquet "Fish-mint"), though we think the flavor and scent are fully unique and delicious. The root is fresh and peppery. The leaves and flowers can be made into medicinal tea. Prefers very wet soil - if it has enough water it will spread quickly, so it's a great option for containers. Variegation has a wide range of colors, responds to more sun with reddening, and in the shade more green/yellow/blush.
