Euphorbia milii --Crown of Thorns--

Madagascar native named for the legend that its thorny stems made Jesus' crucifixion crown. Despite the gorey associations, this is a beautiful landscaping plant - heat tolerant, drought resistant, and with a plethora of showy blooms when planted in full sun. Deer, rabbit, and salt resistant. Suitable as a houseplant. Sap is an irritant, be cautious when handling or pruning. Protect from frost.
