AKA Thornapple, or for Potter fans, "Devil's Snare". Gorgeouus nightshade with large, dusky lavendar/white flowers that smell heavenly. Makes wildly spiky seed pots and self-seeds readily. Prefers full sun and dryish soil. 3' spacing, 40 days to flower. All parts of the plant are toxic–leaf, root, flower and seed. This plant must never be ingested! Traditional usage external only (American Indian, TWM): motion sickness, rheumatic and glandular swellings.
