Cool Texas Native shrub sometimes called "summer snow" or "Mexican Plumbago", pretty white jasmine-like blossoms April through September. Up to 4' tall and spread, pruning produces fresh and denser growth. Prefers shade, so great as an understory, or spill plant. Leaves emerge red, mature to green, then turn red again in autumn. Very attractive to butterflies. Historical use as an abortifacient, and in Ayurvedic medicine, known as chitrak.
