DRAGON FRUIT 'Ecuador Palora' --Hylocereus megalanthus--
Dragon fruit plants are similar to orchid cacti, and are native to South America, where they are called Pitahaya. The branches are green and lobed, and the plant requires support/trellis. Produces blooms & dragon-shaped pure white-fleshed fruit speckled with seeds, once 4-5 feet in size. Sweet and tangy brilliantly yellow-skinned fruit ripens 4-5 weeks after flowering. Self-pollinating, do not overwater, protect from frost. The sweetest of all dragonfruit, over 20 on the BRIX sweetness scale.
