Dragon fruit plants are similar to orchid cacti. The branches are green and lobed, and the plant requires support/trellis. Produces blooms & dragon-shaped dark reddish purple-fleshed fruit once 4-5 feet in size. Sweet and tangy fruit with maroon skin ripens 4-5 weeks after flowering. Self-pollinating and great for pollinating other dragonfruit. Do not overwater, protect from frost.
