Cool double-lobed calabash, great for craft projects like shakers, birdhouses, water bottles, floats, musical instruments, etc. The white purple martin houses seen in may places mirror the shape of these gourds, used traditionally to attract the insect-eating birds for centuries. Many may not be aware, these gourds are edible! For eating, harvest while small and soft, great for steaming or stir frying. Vines can grow to 20', suitable for sprawling or trellising.
