GAYFEATHER 'Texas' --Liatris punctata 'Mucronata'--

Sometimes called "Texas Blazing Star", this is a stunning clump of feathery spikes of slender leaves. When blooming the end third of each spike is covered with a fuzz of pinkish purple blooms. Blossoms flush downward over several weeks in summer. Up to 3' tall, full sun, drought and heat tolerant, cut back in winter.
