Zoysia ternifolia --Dwarf Korean Lawn Grass--

AKA "no-mow" or "velvet" grass, this is a gorgeous, low-maintenance turfgrass that grows slowly and densely, needing little to no mowing. Will become attractively textured and almost bumpy as it matures. Disease-resistant, holds up well to traffic, and repels weeds throughout the year. Native to the coastal grasslands of southeast Asia and Indonesia, and was first introduced to the United States in 1895. Great alternative to bermuda, tolerant to drought, freezing temperatures, salt, and shade. Dormant in winter.
