GUAVA 'Lemon' --Psidium cattleyanum 'Littorale'--

Cattley guava is a great container fruit tree, grows quickly and bears fruit early up to 12' tall (though tolerant of pruning to size), with tasty, lemon-flavored, bite-sized fruit (without the mouth-puckering quality of actual lemons). Can bear multiple times a year! Whole fruit can be eaten, skin and all, pulp is great in smoothies and marinades, and contains vitamins a, b, c, and potassium. Seeds are antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial, and full of vitamin C. Wood is good for working, and leaves can be brewed for tea. Hardy to 22°, but protect from harder freezes. Suitable for container.
