HENNA --Lawsonia inermis--
AKA Mignonette or Egyptian privet. This heat loving shrub is the source of henna dye, a powder of the dried leaves used to color hair and cloth, and decorate the hands in the Indian Mehndi ceremony. Produces the most intense dyes when temperatures are highest. Also has medicinal properties in the bark. Egyptian native. Really likes warmth and sun - protect from frosts and keep warm.
