Hibiscus coccineus --Lonestar Hibiscus--

A hardy hibiscus species native to the American southeast from Florida to Louisiana. Sometimes called Texas Star, though it is not a Texas native. Large, 5-petalled flowers draw in tons of pollinators and hummingbirds. Sun-loving and hardy in zone 8b.
