Justicia spicigera --Mexican Honeysuckle--
Upright, evergreen perennial about 4' tall and wide when mature, with bright red-orange clusters of flowers on vigorous full green foliage. Blooms late spring to fall, attracts hummingbirds and pollinators. Deer and drought resistant.Full sun to part shade, well-drained soil. May brown or drop leaves after hard freezes but is root hardy in the Austin area.
