Huernia hystrix --Porcupine Huernia--
Tanzanian native is a stapelia cousin. Easy to grow succulent with wildly spiky, star-shaped flowers, and long stems that look like cactus but spines are soft. Grow in shade, water only when dry. Heat and drought tolerant. Stems were boiled and eaten as a vegetable in South Africa.
