AKA Kougoed in its native South Africa - Small sprawling succulent with occasional pretty white blossoms. One of the very oldest medicines dating back to prehistoric times, dried, (sometimes fermented to denature the oxalates which can be harmful in large quantities), and chewed. Used to enhance and elevate moods, with modern studies showing its bioactive alkaloids (majorly, mesembrine) have potential to be treatments for stress, depression, and anxiety.
