MONKEY PUZZLE TREE --Araucaria araucana--

Rare and incredible! AKA piñonero or Chile pine, a living fossil, growing to 140 ft. in its native range of the Chilean Andes mountains, where it is the national tree. Endangered. The seeds are edible, like a very large pine nut, and the evergreen leaves stay attached over the entire surface of the tree and live up to 24 years each. In summers keep in the shade, allowing no more than 5 hrs of sunlight, highly cold hardy to -4F!
