Ipomoea lindheimeri --Lindheimer's Morning Glory--
Delicate climbing vine to about 6' with striking 5-lobed leaves and small lavender trumpet-shaped blossoms. Blooms April through October, Loves sun, drought tolerant, attracts pollinators and hummingbirds. Needs to be trellised or placed near a fence or something to climb. Texas Native. This species (and many others) is named after Ferdinand Jacob Lindheimer (1801-1879) who is often called the Father of Texas Botany because of his work as the first permanent-resident plant collector in Texas.
