Really interesting vegetable from Papua New Guinea, with crunchy leaves that taste lightly of mushrooms, and are nutrient rich, including protein, beta-carotene, iron, vitamin C, and calcium. Great in salads or on sandwiches, mushroom flavor increases when cooked, but add at the last minute to keep the fresh green color. Great mushroom substitute for folks with candida or thrush. Prefers warmth, shade tolerant, suitable for containers.
