OREGANO 'Turkestan' --Origanum vulgare 'Gracile'--

Gorgeous deeply green herb from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan is great for cooking, and its aromatic oil is a strong antimicrobial. Aroma and flavor are mild, earthy and perfumed. Likes partial shade though tolerant of sun (leaves will redden in full sun). Relatively slow growing, pinch tips for bushiest growth. Savory plants in the Lamiacea family including all Oreganos have carminative, antiseptic, expectorant and other medicinal effects.
