PASSIONFLOWER 'Tauso' --Passiflora coactilis--

A vigorous, evergreen climber with trilobed leaves and pink flowers followed by round, yellowish fruits that are edible and aromatic. Passiflora coactilis is a plant from cool, high elevation cloud forests in the Andes in South America in southwestern Colombia and in Ecuador between 2200 and 3600 m. Better adapted to cool conditions than many passiflora. In frosty weather, leaves and shoots may be damaged but will regrow from the base in spring. Somewhat shade tolerant, unusual among climbing vines.
