Hardy Pecan cultivar, a large shade tree that bears high quality pecans. Hirishi originates from Rich Hill, Missouri. The nuts of this variety mature early and are larger in size than others. Single pecan trees will produce readily in Austin because there are many trees in all neighborhoods to provide pollen. Full sun and drought tolerant once established. Pecans go dormant between November and March, you will receive a living tree with no leaves.
