Hardy Pecan cultivar, a large shade tree that bears high quality pecans. The Kanza Pecan is considered one of the best northern varieties and is a cross between Major and Shoshoni. Single pecan trees will produce readily in Austin because there are many trees in all neighborhoods to provide pollen. Cold hardy, with consistent harvests of medium sized nuts, and a great cross-pollinator with Pawnee and Hirishi. Pecans go dormant between November and March, you will receive a living tree with no leaves.
