PEPPER 'Padron'
PEPPER 'Padron'
Famous heirloom small 2-4" peppers from northern Spain. They start out mild when young, and some, about 1 in 10, turn very hot when ripe - similar to the shishito. There is a popular saying in Spanish "unos pican otros no", some are hot, some are not. Plants are 4 feet high and 3 feet wide, giving 50 - 100 peppers per plant. Great eating whole after blistering in a hot pan. 500-2000 Scovilles, 60 days.
