Perennial bunching rye grass from the Mediterranean, contains dimethyltryptamine, and can be hazardous as a pasture grass, cattle have known to get "Phalaris staggers" due to the presence of the alkaloids. However, valuable as a forage grass because of high protein content. Up to 5' tall with pretty waving heads.
