Sometimes called Purple-Leaf Sage, because furry hair-tipped leaves can darken towards purple under some conditions. Very bright red flowers with yellow to white stamens and dark green to deep grayish-purple sepals. Hardy in zone 8b. Compact growth to a foot tall and up to 2' wide clusters.
