Mimosa quadrivalvis var. nuttallii --Sensitive Plant--
Rare Texas Native sensitive plant, sometimes called bashful briar or cat's claw. Creeping vines are covered with prickles, and leaves close up like a venus flytrap when brushed, a reaction called thigmonasty or seismonasty. Flowers look exactly like the ones from the tree, but miniature. Full sun, drought tolerant, deer resistant, and a pollinator attractant.
