Stemodia lanata --Woolly Stemodia--

Finally, a perennial groundcover for central Texas! Dense mats of silvery-green with pretty lilac blooms, and unlike many other groundcovers, stays well inside boundaries and weed barriers! Native to Texas Coastal regions, likes well-drained soils or it can rot. Great in raised beds and containers, as its showy fronds will spill over the edges. Afternoon shade is ok, but needs some sun. Can die back to ground in winter, but will regrow.
