SUNFLOWER 'Taiyo'

Gorgeous Japanese variety. Plants grow to a very moderate 5-6' tall with large 10-12" heads and short golden-yellow petals, supported by a sturdy 1-2" thick stem. Nice height for a large flowered variety, compared to others which sometimes put their flowers 12 feet or more in the air, far too high to enjoy! Huge centers are covered with chocolate-colored velvet reminiscent of fur. Always a favorite. 70 days.
