SWEET CORN 'Ashworth Yellow'

Buttery, old-fashioned sweet corn, 6-7" ears. Shorter stalks, shorter ears, and shorter growth times make this a very manageable variety, and great for kids because ears grow at their own height! Said to have been "rat selected" for the way the original growers had to fight scavengers for the tastiest grains to propagate! Good early starter, tolerates cool soil, 69 days. Harvest early after half-silk for most sweetness, otherwise the ears will get starchy. Open-pollinated.
