SWEETGRASS --Hierachloe odorata--

Holy Grass' is used by Native Americans to braid for sacred incense. Also sacred to early European peoples, still used in churches on festival days. Highly regarded herb holds secrets beyond most people's appreciation. With it's vanilla-like scent and wispy blades, one can argue that it is one of the top four of the sacred plants of the native people of our continent. Sometimes added to smoking blends or taken as a tea, this sturdy magical grass has been traditionally used for braided sacred objects as well.
