Leucophyllum frutescens --Compact Texas Sage--

AKA "Cenizo", not a true sage/salvia, this is a dwarf cultivar of the classic Texas Cenizo! Attractive silvery-green shrub grows up to 5', naturally and in landscaping all over Texas and is famous for predicting rain when it becomes covered with pink/violet flowers. Preferred host plant for butterfly and moth caterpillars, and attracts bees and hummingbirds when blooming. Full sun, drought and heat tolerant, very cold tolerant to at least 10° F, deer resistant.
