Leucophyllum frutescens --Green Texas Sage--

AKA "Cenizo", not a true sage - attractive brighter green shrub grows naturally and in landscaping all over Texas and is famous for predicting rain when it becomes covered with pink/violet flowers. Preferred host plant for butterfly and moth caterpillars. Full sun, drought and heat tolerant, deer resistant.
