TOMATO 'Litchi' --Solanum sisymbriifolium--
South American Native heirloom, AKA Morelle de Balbis and Vila Vila. Shrubby plant to 6 feet is quite thorny - spiny husk retracts and fruit matures to a tart and juicy red berry, similar to groundcherry. Roots have historically used medicinally. Can tolerate light frost to 25°. Often mistaken for the inedible Texas native Solanum carolinense, please be cautious if foraging! 90 days to first fruit, grow it just like any tomato. Indeterminate.
