Malvaviscus drummondii --Big Momma Turk's Cap--
Gorgeous turkscap with extra large, dramatic red blooms, maturing to edible fruit that looks and tastes like tiny apples! Even pops apart into little wedge "slices". Drought tolerant, prefers part to full shade, though will tolerate sunnier spots. Attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, and moths. Cutting back after fall dormancy results in denser growth and more blossoms in spring.
