VERBENA 'Oaxaca Lemon' --Lippia alba--
VERBENA 'Oaxaca Lemon' --Lippia alba--
Related to our Aztec Sweet Herb, this Mexican native looks a lot like lantana, and has a wonderful lemon mint aroma, a popular flavoring for mole and other sauces, and traditionally used medicinally for everything from cough syrup to anti-anxiety, and an anti-flatulence solution that may be more palatable than the pungent epazote. Drought resistant, needs plenty of sun. Ideal for container growth to protect from frost, and great as a decorative as well as an herb. Bees and other pollinators LOVE the great-smelling flowers.
